Orgodynamics Training

“Orgone energy is the primary cosmic energy that can be observed, measured and utilized.”
Wilhelm Reich

What is Orgodynamics and orgonomic energy?

Orgone energy is a universal life energy field that was described in the early 20th century by Austrian psychoanalyst and scientist Dr. Wilhelm Reich. This energy, also called “cosmic life force,” pulsates both in nature and in the human body. Reich discovered that its flow in the organism can be blocked by emotional and physical armor – muscle tensions that arise from traumatic experiences and lost connection with oneself.

These ideas were revolutionary – Reich went further than classical psychoanalysis by including the body as a primary therapeutic channel. His work laid the foundation for modern body therapy, bioenergetics and – ultimately – orgodynamics.

Orgodynamics is a body-oriented, multidimensional method of transpersonal psychology developed at the Orgoville Institute (Germany), originating from Wilhelm Reich’s orgonomy. This method helps awaken awareness at all human levels – from body and emotions to intuition and spiritual experience.

Orgodynamic training develops sensitivity to body signals, deepens connection with oneself and the world, encourages authenticity, creativity and helps discover a deeper sense of life’s meaning – both in personal and professional life.

Orgodynamics is a holistic approach that explores the flow of life energy (orgone) in the human body and the universe. It is not just theory but practice born from more than 30 years of experimentation and teaching that Gabrielle St. Clair and Michael Plesse further developed through the Orgoville Institute. Their focus is on conscious presence, perception of subtle body signals and integration of spiritual life.

Today orgodynamic principles are applied:

  • In psychotherapy – releasing deep body blocks and integrating emotional trauma;
  • In medical experiments – using orgone accumulators to strengthen life force;
  • In ecology – harmonizing the atmosphere and restoring natural balance (e.g., “sky bluing” restoration projects).

IKTA – Integrative Body Therapy Academy – the only place in Lithuania where you can learn authentic orgodynamics, based both on Reich’s orgonomy sources and the living tradition continued by the Orgoville Institute.

Concept

Multidimensional approach

The orgodynamic method combines:

  • Principles of transpersonal psychology (unitive, mystical psychology, gestalt insights),
  • Body psychotherapy practice (neo-Reichian work with the body, biodynamic psychotherapy),
  • Quantum psychology (e.g., according to Stephen Wolinsky),
  • Methods of mindfulness, meditation, contemplation, Essencia®.

During training, a context of coherent energy fields is created, allowing exploration of consciousness shifts, transpersonal experiences and development of the ability to act flexibly and diversely. Here the ability to experience discontinuity is cultivated – transcending linear thinking, reaching a deeper level of being.

Training content includes

  • Key life stages: birth, childhood, masculinity, femininity, creativity, illness, death, relationships, sexuality, spirituality.
  • Therapeutic methods: process accompaniment, body sequences, massage techniques.
  • Theoretical models and literature on various topics.
  • Individual self-development process and basics of professional counseling.

Mindfulness

The core of orgodynamics is the cultivation of mindfulness (Achtsamkeit): sensitive, respectful, attentive presence with oneself, with others and with the world.

“You are already that which you seek.”
“You are already that which you seek.”

This attitude helps reveal our essential nature – not to strive to be different, but to recognize what we already are.

Frequently asked questions

What can I work as after completing this training?

This is professional training for people working in social, therapy, art, education and/or business fields. After completing the program you receive an institute certificate and can call yourself orgodynamics® consultants, instructors or therapists and/or integrate this method into your existing profession. This type of work is not currently licensed in Lithuania.

What education is needed to study Orgodynamics?

This is not regulated, everyone can study. The course is oriented towards professional education but is also a field of support and inspiration for people experiencing strong changes, seeking new direction and meaning.

What is the difference between an orgodynamics consultant, instructor and therapist?

These are terms defining application areas, partly overlapping. A consultant can go to companies and consult teams or provide individual consultations. An instructor can lead groups, integrate orgodynamic methods into their training. A therapist can work with patients 1:1 – as in any other therapy.

How do I decide if I want to study Orgodynamics?

On August 29-September 1, 2024 we are organizing an introductory Orgodynamics seminar. During it all participants will have the opportunity to directly meet the lecturer, feel the method and then decide about continuing studies.

What certificate is issued upon successful completion of training?

An Orgodynamics Institute certificate is issued and the therapist can apply orgodynamic methods in body psychotherapy. The regulation of body psychotherapy and its branches in Lithuania is still undefined – therefore when applying therapy the term Orgodynamics specialist can be used. Certificate recognition in Germany/EU:
DGK/EABP (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Körperpsychotherapie e.V.) recognizes Orgodynamics training as body psychotherapy training and credits it when applying for DGK and European Association of Body-Psychotherapy (EABP) body psychotherapy certification.
Orgodynamics is accredited according to the German-Hessen Teacher Training Law (HLbG).

Do we work through physical contact in orgodynamics?

In orgodynamic methods mindfulness, perception, presence, meditative practices dominate. Direct physical contact is not the main focus.

If I missed a seminar, would it be possible to acquire the missed knowledge in individual consultations? As I understand, in this case I would have to pay extra?

Our courses are organized in partnership with the German Orgodynamics Institute and their lecturers and are continuous. Missing one seminar does not reduce the total study amount. Knowledge is very experiential, connected with being in a group. You can miss max. 1 seminar per year and compensate it with individual sessions: for a weekend, a short seminar requires 6 separate sessions, and for a long seminar – 12 individual sessions. Individual sessions also need to be paid separately.

Does the training amount have to be paid for the year in advance? Is it possible to pay in parts before each module?

Yes, it will be possible to pay in parts, then a small additional administrative fee may apply.

Are any special prerequisites needed to participate in the training?

No special prior knowledge is needed. Sincere interest and openness to new experiences is enough.

Is orgone energy scientifically recognized?

Although the existence of orgone energy is not universally recognized in the official scientific community, many of Reich’s ideas (like muscular armor) have been adapted in modern psychotherapy.
